This project was made as a part of the UX Course organised by The Informal School of IT. The work was split into stages: research, elaborated in teams of four and then an individual design stage. The purpose of the website is to create a space where dog owners can find dog lovers to walk their pets when they are out of the city or simply don’t have time.

THE CHALLENGE:
First of all I had to understand the need for dog owners to have somebody available to walk their dog when they are out of town or simply don’t have enough time. There are already some pet hotels who can take care of the dogs when the owner is not around, but they don’t offer the pet walking service.
The goal is to create a community of all dog owners and pet walkers to bound and communicate easy and fast, using a platform that is widely available and always online.
My role was to go through all the stages of the Design Thinking Process starting with the Problem Definition, followed by Research, Analysis and Design.
RESULTS ANALISYS
My team who was a real support did some interviews with both dog owners and pet walker and i manage to sintetise some of the most important aspects for my website. They are all on the notes below.

By doing this I managed to identify the main pain points and the user needs, some of the most important being the following:
There MUST BE A WAY FOR DOG OWNERS AND DOG WALKERS TO INTERACT FAST AND EASY
The EXISTING PLATFORMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA DOES NOT COMPLY WITH ALL THE DOG OWNERS NEEDS
ALL INFORMATIONS MUST BE EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND FAST TO ACCESS.
TIME IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE, ALL USERS OF THE WEBSITE MUST HAVE have a simple and fast means to access and the website must be online and responsive all the time.

After the interviews we could clearly differentiate between types of users. Now we had a clear understanding of who our target user will be, so we created personas for each user typology. This helped us take decisions later into the design process to fit the end user.

USER JOURNEY

So Marius need a person to come to his house every morning and walk the dog in the park near the block for one hour. And we have a paragraph with the team members on chat support and on website updating.

After a test with users i found that the registration program does not redirect to the user page.
And the users can create their profile, but only as a blog post, and that blog should be implemented as a user profile on the Services Page and that is something for the dev team to work and try to fix.
The contact page works but it should send also an email to the user not only for the administrator

Me and my colleagues tested all and each part of the website and we had some things that was working and some that need to be improved, but that is not possible on this stage, that requires more work from a developer who can change the plugins and theme that was used on the project.
For now the process of creating user profiles, both for dog owners and for pet walkers are a manual thing made by the administrator of the website. Also the messaging system does not work now, a chat program will be implemented later.
I would like to than you to the Green team, Cosmina, Paula and Andreea, they were a great help with the interviews and the editing of that, since i had a very little time to do it myself. The whole green team is a great team and we work very well together.
